Tonight I Dined: Monkey King Noodle

Monkey King Noodle Co. is a food stand turned restaurant in Dallas' Deep Ellum neighborhood. It was unclear on the online menu if the items marked with (v) were vegetarian or vegan...this would matter if noodles had eggs in them. To my happiness the (v) was vegan! The chalkboard menu at the restaurant clearly indicates this, and there were even more vegan items/specials than listed online. I ordered the Tim Tim's sesame noodles. These were delicious and filling, but very rich and heavy on the sauce...so I couldn't finish the whole thing. Half of the amount of sauce and a little more spice would be even tastier. Overall, this is a solid options for vegans in a cool neighborhood with a nice patio, so I would recommend it if you're in the area.
