Something I Tried: Aqua ViTea

Kombucha on-tap alert! This is absolutely my favorite way to drink my favorite tea. Inside the Mom's Organic Market near Johns Hopkins is the fast casual vegetarian restaurant, Naked Lunch. They serve bowls, soups, salads, smoothies, and have 2 Vermont-brewed Aqua ViTea kombuchas on-tap. Woo-hoo!

I got the Strawberry Sage flavor and wow. I love the combination of the sweet, tart fruit with the herbal sage and cooling mint. The fizz level on this one is great and while the overall flavor is complex, it's very mellow. It is a nice accompaniment to food and won't over power the taste of what you're eating like some intense booches.

While I was at Naked Lunch I also grabbed a small Indian Spice soup. This soup has some of my favorite veggies in a richly spiced aromatic broth. The cauliflower is extremely tender and practically melts in your melt. If you want your soup served over rice and chickpeas they'll do that for you, but I loved slurping up this broth.
