Tonight I Dined: La Trocadero

In the shadow of Barcelona's Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's famous unfinished cathedral, is La Trocadero, an urban vegan food restaurant. The inside is hip with bright colors, geometric shapes, and repurposed crates to sit on. 

The menu is simple with burgers, hot dogs, salads, juices and desserts. I wish I was more hungry when I went in...because the food looked absolutely incredible. I managed to work up an appetite for a red velvet cake donut and a hot tea. While I usually prefer yeast donuts, this donut was so moist and flavorful. And the crunchy bits on top were a nice contrast to the soft texture...it was complete perfection.
