Tonight I Dined: Capital City Bakery

I've eaten Capital City's awesome baked goods before at the annual Texas Veg Fest held in Austin every April. I finally got around to stopping by their storefront on E. Cesar Chavez and found that the bakery is cute a converted bungalow house. Everything here is vegan, and while I was waiting in line, I was reminded that vegan bakeries also serve a lot of people with food allergies...a little boy was very excited for a treat that he usually does not get to enjoy! I was equally excited for the chocolate cupcake with cherry icing I got packed to-go. It was just superb. The classic flavor combination was on-point, with moist cake and sweet icing....mmmm. But I'm going to get the cheesecake next time, yaaaas cheesecake.
