Something I Tried: Sprouts Pumpkin Seed Tortilla Chips

I picked up these sea salt pumpkin seed tortilla chips from Sprouts, and to be honest, I've been dreading the review. I wasn't sure if these would be truly savory or be sweet-ish and since I'm living in the land of Tex-Mex I'm particular about my chips. A good chip is super crispy, thick enough to withstand dipping action, and have a pleasant (not overwhelming) flavor.

These round tortillas have large pumpkin seeds dotted throughout, and a light coating of pumpkin-y powder on the exterior. They are indeed savory, but have a much more complex flavor than traditional corn chips. They were flavored enough to not require dipping salsa and could be enjoyed on their own, but they also weren't so flavored as to be Dorito-esque. I actually loved these...with the hint of pumpkin being the cherry on top.

Overall Taste: 8/10
Pumpkin-ness: 6/10
